William B. Shaw, 79, Indianapolis, known to his friends as “Bill”, “Ginsberg”, or “Ginsey”, passed away July 16, 2015. Born August 24, 1935 to George and Helen Shaw in New Jersey, but raised in Denver, Colorado until age 15 when he came to Indianapolis, IN. He was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School class of 1953 and then joined the US Army and spent 17 months serving in Korea. After serving in the Army he earned a positon as a printer for the Indianapolis Star for 40 years. He was married to Martha (Busart) Shaw, of Culver, IN on June 20, 1959 and they spent the last 56 blessed wonderful years together. He loved sports, mainly football and held season tickets to the Colts games from the first year. He was also an avid golfer, played every free chance he could get and year round. He belonged to the American Legion, Kennington Post for 52 years and the VFW, Post #6919, in Culver, IN for many decades. He is survived by his wife Martha Shaw, brother, Robert Michael Shaw of Penezza, Italy. Services will be at a private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana Chapter, 50 E. 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240. Arrangements: Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory.
